Key takeaways
- The 120% is extra: purchase 5,000 points, receive 6,000 bonus points, and get 11,000 in total. Check that your account shows this offer.
- This is not the highest bonus across all channels: select TPG subscribers previously had a 125% offer. We cannot establish whether this is the first exact 120% offer.
- Assuming US$10 per 1,000 purchased points, the cost is about 0.4545 US cents per point. If paying in another currency, check the conversion rate and any extra charges.
- Buy by November 21, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The annual purchase cap is 240,000 points before the bonus; purchases are nonrefundable and do not qualify you for elite status.

A 125% precedent puts the 120% headline in context
A bonus above Hilton's familiar 100% is worth a look. But the first appearance of an exact 120% rate and the highest purchase bonus ever offered are different claims.
In a June 8, 2026 retrospective, TPG described an earlier 125% Hilton purchase bonus for select new newsletter subscribers. Its partner promotion terms also document a 100% plus 25% structure. That restricted offer establishes a higher precedent, even though it was not a standard deal available to everyone.
Our October 7 research did not establish an earlier exact 120% offer, but it also cannot prove that this is the first regular public sale at that rate. We would call it stronger than the usual 100%, without claiming a first-ever or all-time record. The old 125% offer is historical context, not something to stack with this sale.
Twenty extra percentage points mean a 9.09% lower unit cost
A 120% bonus delivers 2.2 points for every point purchased. Our examples assume US$10 per 1,000 purchased points; this is a calculation basis, not a verified final account quote.
At that price, US$50 buys 5,000 points plus 6,000 bonus points, for 11,000 total. The effective cost is US$0.004545, or about 0.4545 US cents, per point. That normalizes to US$45.45 per 10,000 delivered points, rather than implying an available purchase quantity.
With the full annual allowance available, 240,000 purchased points plus 288,000 bonus points would total 528,000 for US$2,400. The 240,000 cap is per calendar year, not per transaction or an additional allowance on top of earlier purchases.
At an unchanged base price, exchange rate and tax treatment, the cost falls from 0.5 US cents with a 100% bonus to about 0.4545 cents with 120%. That is a 9.09% saving, not 20%.
Check the exchange rate before paying
If paying in a currency other than US dollars, check the conversion rate used at checkout and any card fees. Compare the final payable total: a higher points bonus does not guarantee a better deal after currency conversion.
The purchase window and the limits that matter
The supplied terms cover purchases of at least 5,000 points from October 7, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern through November 21 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The window starts in daylight time and ends in standard time. In Beijing, that is October 7 at noon through November 22 at 12:59 p.m.
The countdown tracks the purchase deadline, not a stay or redemption deadline. The promotional annual cap is 240,000 purchased points before the bonus; check your remaining allowance and personal offer.
Points should post within 48 hours of the completed transaction. Purchases are nonrefundable, cannot be combined with other offers and do not count toward elite qualification. Points.com and Hilton may change or end the offer. A 48-hour posting window is not a promise of instant delivery.
Open the purchase link and check your own offer
The first source link below is the supplied Points.com purchase entry. The terms make an eligible purchase the participation condition and list no separate promotional enrollment. You still need to sign in to Hilton Honors and check the bonus, purchased points, bonus points and final payment amount.
In our signed-out browser, the link redirected to Hilton's points information page. That does not establish your eligibility either way. If it happens to you, sign in and access the buy-points feature through Hilton's website.
New accounts face Hilton's general purchase rules: eligibility after 30 days with qualifying account activity, or after 90 days regardless of activity. Joining today does not automatically mean you can buy today.
A useful top-up, not a reason to stockpile
This is an attractive improvement on 100%, but it is not a record across all channels. Use your own final payment cost to price the intended reward stay, then compare a tax-inclusive cash rate for the same room, dates and similar cancellation terms.
The strongest case is a specific trip, available reward space and a modest points shortfall. Availability and reward prices can change before purchased points arrive, while the purchase itself is nonrefundable. Without a near-term use, a bigger bonus is not a reason to build a bigger balance.
