Key takeaways

  • Stay at least two consecutive paid nights on one reservation for 1,500 bonus points. Eligible resorts add another 3,000, for 4,500 extra points per stay.
  • Register by November 13, 2026. The earning period runs September 22–November 22; the countdown above tracks registration.
  • The bonus is per stay, not per night or per two-night block. Eligible stays are uncapped, but only one room counts per stay.
  • Points redemptions, Free Night Awards and Cash + Points stays are excluded, as are members who elect to earn airline miles.

Two nights unlock the bonus; resorts get the better deal

Have a two-night Marriott trip planned this fall? WL26 is worth adding to it. An eligible stay earns 1,500 extra points, while a participating resort adds 3,000 more, bringing the promotional bonus to 4,500. One-night trips miss out entirely.

The requirement is at least two consecutive qualifying paid nights at the same property under one reservation. Five nights still earn one bonus, not two awards for completing two pairs of nights. Two separate one-night bookings do not automatically meet the single-reservation requirement either. There is no cap on eligible stays, but each member can count only one room at one property per stay.

For the resort bonus, start with the official resort directory linked from the promotion, then check that the property participates in both Bonvoy and this offer. A pool, a beach or the word ‘Resort’ in the name is not a 3,000-point guarantee.

Registration closes before the earning period does

Registration runs from September 9, 2026 at 00:00 to November 13 at 23:59. The earning window runs from September 22 at 00:00 to November 22 at 23:59. Both windows are underway as of October 4, and the official page displays registration links. Sign in through the offer page below and confirm enrollment in your Bonvoy account.

Registering before check-in is the easy option. The terms count only eligible paid stays completed after registration, with no retroactive bonus for stays already completed. They do not specify a separate booking-date window; registration, rate eligibility and the stay conditions are what matter.

There is some flexibility at the edges: a stay that begins or ends outside the earning window can qualify if at least one night falls within it. The same-reservation requirement of at least two consecutive qualifying paid nights still applies. This does not turn a one-night visit into an eligible stay.

The countdown above uses November 13, 2026 at 23:59 UTC for the registration deadline. Marriott supplies the time but no time zone; UTC is our display convention, not a confirmed Marriott cutoff zone. Do not confuse the later earning deadline with extra time to register.

A cash booking still needs an eligible rate and channel

Book a points-earning qualifying rate through an eligible channel, such as Marriott’s website, app, participating properties or customer service. Most third-party booking sites and some travel-agency rates do not qualify. Adding a Bonvoy number will not fix an ineligible rate. Cancellation, prepayment and refund rules depend on the rate you choose.

Points redemptions, Free Night Awards and Cash + Points stays are expressly excluded. One paid night plus an award night does not meet the two-paid-night requirement. Members who have elected to earn airline miles are also ineligible.

BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Marriott Executive Apartments are excluded, along with owner-occupied weeks at the vacation and residence clubs listed in the terms. Eligible Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy stays of two or more paid nights on one reservation earn 1,500 points only. Booking a villa by the sea does not unlock the extra resort award.

What the bonus adds to a two-night stay

Assume a conventional, non-all-inclusive property earning 10 base points per eligible US dollar, with USD 150 in qualifying room charges per night. Two nights generate 3,000 base points. Add the standard promotional bonus of 1,500 for 4,500 points in total. At an eligible resort, the promotion adds 4,500 instead, bringing the total to 7,500.

This is an illustration, not a room-rate quote. It counts only those qualifying room charges, leaving out taxes, other spending, elite bonuses, credit-card rewards and other promotions. Different brand earning rates and all-inclusive package rules can change the base calculation.

Spread across two nights, the promotional award adds 750 points per night, or 2,250 at an eligible resort. Over one five-night stay, those averages fall to 300 and 900. The offer rewards an existing short break more than a longer holiday.

The resort bonus may arrive in two parts

For eligible hotel stays, the first 1,500 points should post with the stay within 10 business days after checkout. The additional 3,000 resort points can take up to eight weeks after the entire earning period ends. Seeing only 1,500 initially does not necessarily mean anything is missing. Homes & Villas’ 1,500-point award can also take up to eight weeks after the earning period ends.

This offer promises bonus points, not additional elite night credits. Check the terms of any other promotion separately before assuming both will pay out; our example includes no unverified stacking benefits.

A useful extra, with little reason to add a night

I would call this a moderate offer, with the best value for an eligible two-night resort stay you already intended to book. The standard 1,500 points are a modest extra. The resort’s 4,500 are more appealing, but rarely a reason to buy an unnecessary night or switch to a substantially more expensive hotel.

Compare the same dates, room type, occupancy, breakfast, tax-inclusive price and cancellation terms first. Moving an otherwise identical trip from the standard tier to the resort tier earns only 3,000 additional points. Extra room and transport costs are real money; keep the bonus in perspective.
